Step 1
We size it
How many people, what they'll ask, and which documents it should read decide the hardware. Often that's one well-equipped Mac or a PC with a graphics card; more computers pair in as you grow. You get a plain-language plan and a parts list before you buy anything.
Step 2
We set it up
We install Toskar, choose and download the models, pair your computers, give the office a secure address, and create a key for each person and app. On site in Juneau, or remotely anywhere.
Step 3
We keep it running
Updates, new models when better ones come out, backups, and a person to call when something looks off.
Running it yourself? Toskar is free to install, and toskar.ai has the downloads and docs.

Questions
- What is Toskar?
- Toskar runs AI models on computers you already own or buy once. It recommends models that fit your hardware, connects several computers into one system, reads your documents, and gives people and apps a private place to ask questions. Toskar Core is open source.
- What does setup cost?
- It depends on the hardware and how much we connect. Tell us how many people and what you'd use it for, and we'll send a quote with the hardware options side by side. Toskar itself has no license fee.
- Which computer do we need?
- The bigger the model, the more memory it needs. A Mac with plenty of unified memory or a PC with a strong graphics card covers most small offices, and more computers can be added later. We'll size it to what you'll actually ask.
- Does anything leave our office?
- Not unless you allow it. Answers come from models running on your computers. Web search and connected services are off until you turn them on, and Toskar shows everything that left.
- Can everyone in the office use it?
- Yes. Today the office shares one Toskar, and each person or app gets its own key with its own limits. Separate sign-ins with private chat history per person are not in Toskar yet; we'll tell you plainly if that matters for your setup.
- Do you only work in Alaska?
- No. We set Toskar up remotely anywhere, and on site in Juneau and Southeast Alaska.
